John Riggins Named ENR 20 Under 40

McKinney, TX, February 10, 2016 – MYCON General Contractors is proud to announce that John Riggins, vice president office and industrial, was a winner in Engineering News-Record (ENR) Texas & Louisiana magazine’s 2016 Top 20 Under 40 competition.

Each year, ENR's regional editions honor outstanding young architecture, engineer and construction professionals by selecting 20 individuals under the age of 40 who represent the "Best-of-the-Best" in their construction and design careers, as determined by an independent panel of judges.

Honorees are selected based on criteria, such as experience and education, career and industry leadership, and community service and involvement, among other factors.  ENR Texas & Louisiana’s 2016 competition attracted entries from a five-state region including Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas.

“John is a highly-valued member of our team, and it is great to see him achieve this recognition from his peers.  We appreciate his professional contributions to our company, and we support his contributions to the industry-at-large and other community volunteer activities,” says Doug Talley, MYCON’s president.

With more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Riggins has worked on numerous projects throughout Texas and has built strong relationships within the industry.  He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering with a concentration in construction management.  Riggins is an active member of The Real Estate Council (TREC) and currently serves on its 2016 Associate Leadership Council steering committee and devotes countless hours to other community and professional activities.
